Canada's International Development and Research Center is partnerning with UNU-INRA for a three-year project: “Unleashing the Potential of African Rural Economies through Green Growth”. The project includes the creation of a Visiting Scholar post.
UNU-INRA will accept applications once each year. The remaining deadlines for applications are 31 August 2014, for the academic year 2014–2015; and 30 April 2015 for the academic year 2015–2016.
Applicants should hold a faculty or research position at an African university with a PhD degree in environmental economics, natural resource economics, ecological economics, development economics, agricultural economics, soil science or any other relevant field of study. Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication skills in French OR English, although knowledge of the second language is encouraged. Female researchers and academics are strongly encouraged to apply. A monthly stipend of 1,500USD will be provided for successful applicants.

Transdisciplinary Training for Resource Efficiency and Climate Change Adaptation in Africa (TRECCAfrica) is offering scholarships to 72 postgraduate students in Africa to complete training at the Master's or Doctoral level in climate change and resource depletion.
The program is managed by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Union, and partners with six African Universities: the University of Ghana, University of Nigeria, University of Dar es Salaam, University of Nairobi, Mekelle University, University of Botswana and Stellenbosch University.
The scholarship includes course fees, monthly allowance, roundtrip ticket and visa costs.

The Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education (JARHE) is focused on providing new research and creating dialogue on the pedagogical issues associated with teaching and learning in higher education. The articles of the international, peer-reviewed journal include all aspects of higher education teaching (policy, curriculum, assessment, and other related subjects) and the changes HE is confronted in the globalized age.
